A bit smaller than I expected. My dog is between 16-18lbs Coton and he barely fits comfortably in the backpack... we mainly use it for short flights. I think my dog's breed is a bit stocky for their weight, as opposed to a Bichon at the same weight so take that into account when picking out which size...
Very sturdy, kinda awkward to put together (strange flap in the main compartment that took a bit to figure out what to do with). To keep its shape, I store it with a popcorn tin inside.
